DVArchive
 "Virtual ReplayTV for your PC"
DVArchive allows your computer to act like a "Virtual ReplayTV". You can download shows from your ReplayTV to burn to DVD/VCD, play shows from your ReplayTV right on your desktop (without having to download them first) and play shows that are stored on your computer right from your ReplayTV/TV screen. You can also search TV listing, see what upcoming recordings on your ReplayTVs there may be and access those listings from a web browser or GUI.

DVArchive is free for non-commercial use and runs on any platform Java V1.4.2 (or later) runs on (Windows, Macs, Linux, Solaris, etc).

Platform Requirements
DVArchive is written in Java and should run on any platform capable of running Java 1.4.2 or later.  Those platforms include Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/Xp, Linux, Mac OSX 10.2.3 or later, Solaris, etc.  

DVArchive does NOT include Java
You must install that yourself from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads

DVArchive has a very active user community.  Places where you can meet other DVArchive users, ask and answer questions and socialize are

  • DVArchive Forum This is where DVArchive users can post questions, see announcements, etc. This is also the primary hangout of the DVArchive developer.
  • AV Sciences ReplayTV Forum - One of the busiest with a mix of DVArchive, ReplayTV and other software being discussed
  • PlanetReplay - With a DVArchive only forum, the focus here is limited to DVArchive related issues
  • MacReplayTV - Also has a DVArchive only forum geared toward the Mac OSX users
